Panoranaglyph

risograph, zig-zag binding

As a Teaching Assistant for Typography II at Appalachian State University, I assisted in the creation of "Panoranaglyph," a meticulously designed book showcasing a diverse array of typefaces and their unique glyphs. This educational resource employs striking red and blue 3D visualizations to highlight the comparative qualities of each typeface, allowing readers to explore and understand the nuanced differences between typographic styles. "Panoranaglyph" serves as both a comprehensive reference and a dynamic teaching tool, illustrating the aesthetic and functional aspects of typography through engaging, interactive graphics. This book not only enhances students' appreciation of type design but also fosters a deeper understanding of typographic principles and their practical applications.

Each student chose their typeface and worked amongst their peers to create overlapping spreads demonstrating the most interesting glyphs within the typeface they chose. The book was designed using Adobe InDesign and printed using Risograph printing. Once the spreads were collated, they were folded and binded using an accordian method and bound with a pocket for 3D glasses for the reader.
